The first week of June is a style bonanza for bona fide fashionistas, with the Sanctuary Cove Fashion Festival kicking off in full force, providing a platform for emerging talent to unleash their creative energy! The Business GC Ready To Wear Parade heated up the stage last night, & yours truly was privileged to be stationed backstage at the event. Amid the chaos of 30-second garment changes, models running blind veiled with headscarves, stilettos that compromised the laws of gravity & dressers tottering on their tiptoes to simply reach towering models, the fashion extravaganza was a run-away success! We knew we had hit the jackpot when the Fashion TV hummer rolled on by to capture the glitz & glamour. (Check out sanctuarycovefestival.com for a full program of this week's fashion events)
Amid the fashion frenzy, a chic Gold Coast Designer brought a little slice of paradise to the mix. Lisa Brown's truly inspired creations were for me, the outstanding collection of the show. The unique gypsy-esque pieces are feminine & flirtatious with a true design quality - softly draping & enhancing the womanly physique. Part bohemian, part luxe with immaculate attention to detail, her frocks are ideal for when you want to amp up the glamour, without appearing too OTT. Defiently one to keep on the fashion radar! Lisa Brown Stockists - Lotus 76 (Fortitude Valley), Bessie Head (Brisbane), Bellissima (Brisbane), Element (Broadbeach) & Toscana (Chevron Island)
